There is much that can be said of this Irish god, Manannan Mac Lir. He is a shapeshifter, and a god of many things. One area that he oversees is weather. While hurricane season is on the rise and storms trying to reach the shors of the U.S., I thought it might be a great idea to work with this Weather God and God of the Sea. Call on his gifts and ask of him to calm the winds, cool the water-ways, and create just the right amount of wind and rain that will nurture the land rather than destory it. All gods or goddesses of the Celtic realm are truly angels working for Divine Intention. As all angels, it is important that we ask for their assistance. They do not interfer, they intercede when asked to do so. Manannan Mac Lir we ask of you, help our land receive only the gift of weather that provides a healthy enviornment of Earth Mother. Shapeshift the pathway of hurricanes. Allow them to dissapate. Cool the waters, slow the wind, wet the land with nourishing qualities. Awen!

Govannon, an Irish/Welsh god, would be great to call on today. He carries the power of fire and the artistry of smithing. Though first known for the weapons he made (sharp and always hit the mark), he is also known as the god of the artists of jewely, assists the blacksmiths, teaching others to create and tend the sacred fires, and the brew that helps one move beyond the limited dimension. Today, call on Govannon so you may “hit the mark” of your intentions, open your creative box and release the art-form that delights you.
